Under the direction of Joan Chamorro, music director of Sant Andreu Jazz Band, has been published an album where the young Andrea Motis makes a good demonstration of the new Catalan jazz talents. “Joan Chamorro presenta Andrea Motis” is the album that arrives one year after the album release of the Sant Andreu Jazz Band, the youngest jazz band in Europe.
Andrea, with just 16 years old, is a musical talent. In this album Andrea puts her voice although she also plays the trumpet and sax. Among the musicians that accompany her, stand out together with saxophonist Joan Chamorro, Ignasi Terraza pianist and composer and clarinetist Bobby Gordon.
The repertoire chosen includes over an hour of jazz classics from the first half of the twentieth century although there is some bossa nova as well.
