First released thirty years ago, La leyenda del tiempo was a major transitional work for flamenco music. This experimental, now emblematic, album changed the concept of flamenco music and had to stand its ground against a hostile part of the public and reactionary critics.
Juan Gómez ‘Chicuelo’, director of the project, shares responsibility for the arrangements and new compositions with Juan Vicente Abardonado, inspired by the original work. Other collaborators include Duquende and Silvia Pérez, voice, and Rafaela Carrasco, dance, amongst others.
