The quintet Lisboa Zentral Cafè present a suggestive reading of Josep Pla’s Cartes meridionals combining three different languages: musical, dramatic and visual. The quintet is joined by three multitalented guest musicians to give a richer, more Mediterranean sound, while actor David Bagès acts as host and recites excerpts from Pla’s book. The performance is completed by a series of video images filmed specially for the occasion.
